The statue was built in 1729, immediately after the sanctification of the Czech Bishop by the papacy. The colorful statuary group, comes from a viennese workshop, the work of an anonymously sculptor; it represents Saint Ioan of Nepomuk in priestly clothes, with rich baroque ornamentation; the exposed copy was the work of Mihai Takacs, a sculptor native from Arad.
