The ensemble represents the monument of Mihai Eminescu and the busts of 6 Romanian poets, in what is known as the Alley of poets: Andrei Mureșan, George Coșbuc, Octavian Goga, Mihail Eminescu, Lucian Blaga, Aron Cotruș and Alexandru Negură. The ensemble was named after the author, the sculptor Paul Mercea, native from Macea. The sculptures are made out of artificial stone.
