The palace was built by the Andrényi family, traders originating from Ghioroc, ennobled with the title of Baron. The one-storey façade is Neo-Roman style, with many neo-romantic elements. Remarkable are especially the richly decorated doors and windows made out of noble wood, but also the beautiful decoration of the walls and ceiling. The building became the Pioneer's Palace after the Communist nationalization in 1948 and later on, in 1990 it changed its name into the ''Children's Palace''.
