The monument was unveiled in 1890 to commemorate the execution of the 13 generals participants in the Hungarian revolution of 1848, is a creation of artist Gyorgy Zala. The monument was dismantled in 1925 and the Fortress of Arad kept until 2004 ,when it was placed at the Reconciliation.
